Renovated Barn in the Woods with Hot Tub

Wonderful Positive: We love that it had everything we needed and it’s perfect place for our kids to have room to play. We will be staying again in the future.

The property has a lot of potential, but several issues affected our stay.When we arrived at 6:00 PM, the house was not ready—the cleaning service was still finishing laundry. We also found only five coffee mugs even though the home is set up for eight guests and our group had six people. There was garbage left in the upstairs bins, dishes still in the dishwasher, and mold on the outside of the coffee creamer packages left in a bowl on the counter. In the primary bedroom on the left, the window on the right side would not open.The main floor has air conditioning, but the upstairs bedrooms only have fans, which made them quite warm for sleeping. This was disclosed in the listing, but guests who are sensitive to heat should keep it in mind.A safety concern is the very dark paint on the stairs to the second floor. They are difficult to see, better contrast or lighting would make them safer.Motorcyclists should also be aware that this barn is not especially bike-friendly. There are two steep, loose-gravel driveways, with the second driveway to the upper area particularly steep. I would recommend it only for very experienced motorcycle riders.With improved cleaning, better stocking of basic items, and attention to the safety concerns, this could be a much more comfortable stay.George

I would stay here again. Great value for the price. Positive: The renovated barn lovely, the location was perfect. The kitchen had everything that we needed. The bedrooms were comfortable w/ nice linens. Check in & check out we’re both easy & efficient. Management was very attentive to our needs & responded immediately. Negative: The only negative was the lack of ac in the bedrooms. The fans in the bedrooms helped but it still was warm in July.
